The 2022 Rosso di Montepulciano is understated in the glass, slowly emerging with pretty hints of dried strawberry, sandalwood and spice. Soothingly round and supple, it impresses with a core of ripe wild berry fruits excited by juicy acidity as violet inner florals arch across the palate. This leaves a coating of grippy tannins and a tinge of sour cherry, tapering off with medium length and lightly structured. The Rosso di Montepulciano comes from the lowest elevation vineyards of Valdipiatta, planted in sandy clay soils. - By Eric Guido on February 2025

There’s plenty of black cherry and blackberry fruit in this red, along with sanguine and earth accents. Firm and open, with a moderate burst of tannins on the finish. Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Mammolo. Drink now through 2029. 1,500 cases made, 200 cases imported.
