Another cracker from one of Speyside's greatest distilleries, this time a 1966 single cask bottled at 43 years by Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series especially for The Whisky Show 2009.

Nose
Full blown sherry, with lovely notes of tobacco and cocoa. Chocolate. Quite dry with a nice savory / herbal touch (parsley and mint). Balsamic syrup. Excellent. Water adds some raspberry liqueur. Mouth: the usual raisins, chocolate and orange liqueur. Drying towards the finish (hints of dark tea), with some licorice. Mint again. Finish: very long, spicy and really dry.
