The 2020 Primus The Blend is a combination of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 10% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Carménère and 5% Cabernet Franc from Apalta, aged for 16 months in foudres and barrels. Dark garnet red in hue. The blend makes for a complex, balsamic nose of ripe redcurrant, blueberry and undergrowth aromas (thanks to the nearby forest), over a bed of oak. Indulgent and broad with an expansive flow tickled by structural tannins. A ripe, juicy, nuanced wine.  Joaquín Hidalgo Jun '23
