"No whole bunches for the Vosne-Romanée Beaumonts, and not racked. Very intense but lively purple, a little oak and a faint reduction, less than the Charmes, on the nose. Blueberries (and cream from the oak) on the palate, all quite explosive, needs the racking to settle down, but this shows great promise with good acidity behind. Tasted Oct 2023."

"The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux-Monts 1er Cru has a coherent and focused bouquet, tightly wound with blackberry, briar and crushed stone aromas. You'd assume there were some stems here, but there are none. The palate is medium-bodied with a pliant entry. Very harmonious and poised, really pure towards the finish that feels cashmere in texture. This is lovely Vosne-Romanée." - Neal Martin Nov '23
