Margaux de Brane - 2022 (750ml)
28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 72% Merlot
Winemaker's Notes:
Margaux de Brane is a wine for pleasure, and its tasting bears witness to this. It has a deep, brilliant purple colour. The initial nose is dominated by notes of black fruit such as blackberry and blackcurrant. It is enriched by finely toasted and roasted aromas and hints of red fruit. From the outset, the wine is very round on the palate. It is balanced, full-bodied and fleshy. The smooth finish lengthens the silky, unctuous tannic structure.
90 points The Wine Cellar Insider
Silky smooth, delicate, soft, and polished, this gentle, medium-bodied wine is refined, with a core of currants, and cherries with freshness in the end note. This is a perfect wine for ordering in a bistro or cafe. This is the new 3rd wine from Brane Cantenac. 2025-2032. - Jeff Leve
89 points Robert Parker
The 2022 Margaux de Brane is an attractive, medium to full-bodied, fresh and juicy effort, redolent of sweet berries and petals. As readers may remember, it's produced from young vines across the estate (everything under 10 years old is now picked separately, as young vines ripen sooner) and some sandier terroirs, and it's matured in oak vats. William Kelley
89 points Vinous Media
The 2022 Margaux de Brane, the chateau's young-vines, Merlot-based offering, is soft, fruity and ready to go. Supple contours wrap around a core of pretty, red-toned fruit in this easygoing, charming Margaux. All the elements are very nicely balanced throughout. Floral notes lift the finish.
