Sourced from two certified heritage vineyards planted in 1985 and 1987 in the Agter-Paarl region, Lievland’s Old Vine Chenin Blanc beautifully expresses the depth and versatility of this classic South African variety. The wine pours a light straw color with a delicate golden hue.

The nose is vibrant and aromatic, offering notes of white peach, citrus blossom, and ripe pineapple. On the palate, layers of juicy peach, bright citrus, and apricot unfold, supported by a refined streak of mineral complexity that reflects the shale soils of the vineyards. The cooler south-facing slopes contribute lifted stone fruit and flinty nuance, while warmer pockets provide concentration and texture.

Rich yet precise, the wine is balanced by refreshing acidity and a subtle creaminess from nine months of aging on fine lees. Partial fermentation in neutral oak adds gentle structure without overshadowing the purity of fruit.
