The 2022 Barbera d'Alba is gorgeous. Soft, plummy and super-expressive, it offers lovely upfront fruit and plenty of charm. The richness of the warm, dry year is evident in the wine's mid-weight structure, but texturally, it is quite elegant and not at all overdone. This will be pretty hard to resist.Â
It’s always a pleasure to stop by La Ca' Nova, which remains one of the most under-the-radar estates in Barbaresco...Barbaresco gets most of the attention here, but the entry-level wines are every bit as good.
