Jean-Claude Boisset Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly - 2022 (750ml)
The vines are, for the most part, planted on the right side of the wide valley that winds its way up toward La Rochepot. The area of appellation is divided between two separate hills: the Montagne de Savoie, which marks the end of the Côte d’Or, and the Montagne du Ban lying perpendicular to it.
“En Remilly” is located on the latter slope and this single vineyard produces wines that are very similar in quality to wines from Puligny and Chassagne. More than 160 acres of Saint-Aubin’s vineyards are classified as Premier Cru.
Pale yellow color with golden highlights. The nose opens with floral aromas of hawthorn and elderberry, combined with delicate, slightly smoky hazelnut notes. The palate is fresh with a lovely graininess. The wine is crisp, with a lovely acidic structure and a long finish.
