Hugo Mendes Lisboa Branco - 2023 (750ml)

This wine is made from a field blend of grapes grown on the Tagus river north of Lisbon, a bit cooler than other vineyards in the area. Grapes include Fernão Pires, Arinto and Vital, among others.  The sum of these grapes is a brightly lemon scented wine with loads of saline, mineral character.  It just cries out for a plate of fried sardines with fresh lemon, though any seafood will make this wine sing.  Bring on your bright/sharp salad dressings, seafood or grilled fish and have an Atlantic-inspried feast.
