Glengyle Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 11 (700ml)

We use locally grown barley as much as possible, that is malted in traditional floor maltings. The malt is then dried over a peat fire. Once dry, the malt is mashed and fermented in house where we promote a longer and slower fermentation process yielding a fruitier ale, and therefore fruitier spirit. It is distilled twice and aged in a variety of casks. We never use chill filtration, artificial colors, or additives.

Aroma – fresh apples, mixed seeds, strawberry laces with smoldering campfire and toasted marshmallows

Palate – grilled fruits, cooking popcorn, caramelized brown sugar, puff pastry and peppermint creams

Finish – toasted oats, salted beef, butter, Parma ham and crushed vanilla pods

Cask Type – 55% ex-bourbon, 45% ex-sherry
