
Foradori Fontanasanta Nosiola Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT - 2024 (750ml)
100% Nosiola. Foradori works 3 hectares of this ancient local variety in the Fontanasanta vineyard at about 400 meters above the city of Trento, a few miles down valley from the Foradori estate in Mezzolombardo. The vines are on clay-limestone soils, lower on the hills than the Manzoni Bianco vines that the Foradoris also tend here. The farming is organic.Â
In the past, Nosiola was always vinified on the skins. The possibility of cultivating ‘real’ grapes, rich in energy thanks to the biodynamic practices undertaken in the vineyard and the extraordinary strength of the amphora, means that now we have the possibility to undertake an ancient style of winemaking. This wine was fermented and fined for 8 months on the skins in tinajas (amphorae) and in acacia casks.
