This inky colored wine has subdued aromas evoking blackberry jam, ground pepper, eucalyptus and a whiff of woodshop. The dense, monolithic palate offers dried black cherry, bitter prune, star anise, oak and roasted coffee bean alongside grainy tannins that leave an astringent, drying finish.
