(1996 vintage) "This has a fantastic and distinctive nose of grilled hazelnuts, roasted sesame, goat’s milk, quince, dried lemons and salted butter. Lots of vivacity, with creamy and nutty layers, balanced by citrusy sharpness. I like the salty, tangy and milky contrast. 50% pinot noir and 50% chardonnay. Disgorged 2018 (22 years on the lees).
