Coca I Fito Negre - 2007 (750ml)

(50% Syrah. 30% Garnacia and 20% Caragane, aged in two-thirds French and one-third American barrels) Inky ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of blackberry, cherry compote, licorice and cola, with a sexy vanilla quality coming up with air. Round and fleshy on the palate, with the vaguely exotic dark fruit and spice qualities repeating. The vanilla note clings on the sappy, persistent finish. This wine's tannins seem to be almost fully absorbed, making it approachable now. -Josh Raynolds
