Clos du Moulin aux Moines Bourgogne Blanc Clos de la Perriere - 2023 (750ml)

This wine, while labeled as a simple Bourgogne blanc, far outperforms that designation.  All of the fruit for this wine is sourced from a single, monopole (exclusively estate-owned), biodynamically farmed plot.  The plot is located just south of the famous village of Puligny Montrachet and is surrounded by a wall of old stones. Its microclimate allows for early ripening. The soils are sandy-silt-limestone and the plot faces south. Three grape varieties are planted: Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The white Burgundy comes from vines planted in 1972 and 1979.
