Cliff Lede Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - 2005 (750ml)

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec and the rest equal parts Petit Verdot and Merlot. It is a slightly more powerful wine at 15.2% alcohol (compared to the 14.8% of the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon). This cuts a deeper, broader swath across the mouth and is clearly full-bodied, but has gorgeous purity of fruit with hints of background Christmas fruitcake, cedar wood, crème de cassis and lead pencil shavings. This beautiful, extremely pure wine is the quintessential expression of Stags Leap. It is a beauty that has come into full maturity and should last for another 10-15+ years.
