Grown organically from 1999, these estate vineyards were planted by Panagiotis Georgiatis and HaroulaĀ Spinthiropoulou, It is a small, family enterprise in Northern Greece, sitting over 1100 feet above sea level. This wine reflects a sturdier, moreĀ earthy, aspect of Xinomavro.
This wine is a blend of Xinomavro,Ā Negkoska, and Mavrodaphne.Ā The Xinomavro and Negoska are harvested and fermented together while the Mavrodaphne is fermented separately and blended in later.
The wine is made by a woman winemaker, Haroula Spinthiropoulou.
